At Mandorla Wellness, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) is curated to meet the needs of individual patients. Ketamine may be offered to appropriate patients via sublingual lozenge or intramuscular injection. The dose of ketamine and route of administration are selected based on the individual patient’s treatment goals. Ketamine is administered in a comfortable office setting, with music specially selected to support the healing journey, and psychotherapy before, during, and after each session, to maximize the benefit of the medication.
In most cases, KAP is offered only to patients who are already in regular treatment at Mandorla Wellness. We believe that this deepens the ketamine experience and enhances the potential for meaning-making in future psychotherapy sessions. However, in rare cases, individuals who already have an outside psychotherapist may be eligible for ketamine treatment at Mandorla Wellness. In those cases, an intake appointment is required to determine safety and eligibility for ketamine treatment. We then consult regularly with the patient’s other healthcare providers, to coordinate care.
If eligible for in-office KAP, at least two dosing sessions are usually recommended, and patients are asked to commit to at least one preparation and one integration visit (45 minutes each) for each ketamine dosing session.
